Abraham Full Gospel Baptist Church History
Abraham Baptist Church is believed to have originated on the south side of Birmingham, AL. It later relocated to the north side and was led by various Pastors. In November of 1983, Pastor Robert Williams was called to take the helm as Pastor of the church.Raised in the traditional Baptist denomination of the Christian Faith, Pastor Robert Williams was called to preach in the year 1980 under the leadership of the late Rev. James Gooden, Jr.; and he expanded his theological perspective and reasoning by attending Birmingham Baptist Bible College. With a word from God and a desire to reach a deeper place in the presence of the all mighty Savior, Pastor Williams shifted spiritual gears and lead Abraham Baptist Church into a place that God would show him.
In 2003, Pastor Williams, lead by the Holy Spirit introduced the church to that place God had identified as their destination of change and promise. That place was called the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International under the Honorable Leadership of Presiding Bishop and Founder Bishop Paul S. Morton, Sr. Pastor Williams served faithfully as the Senior Pastor and Founder of the Abraham Full Gospel Baptist Church. He served for thirty three years as lead Pastor and retired in July of 2016.
In August of 2016 Bishop Gregory K. Mullen Senior was named as Pastor of the church. Bishop Mullen and the members of the church are looking forward to God doing great and mighty things and have coined the phrase, “Come and experience what The Lord is doing at Abraham”!
